Started by tinotriste · 10 months ago

A great collection of the most inappropriate, funny and impossible to decode captchas on the web. There’s even captchas written in Braille.
Some of the big sharks are featured there too.

  • Some sites have gone way overboard with those lately. Even with my 20/20 vision I find myself getting them wrong half the time.
  • Google's Captchas are pretty awful at the moment. In fact, it's not so much the captchas as the reaosn theyre there at all. anyone who is an above normal user of Google toolbar must have noticed this, sooner or later during the day your every search will serve up one of those 'sorry' screens. Incredibly aggravating.

  • Captcha is an acronym for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers And Humans Apart and are used to prevent automated software from spamming the website. A captcha has an algorithm to show different new challenges which requires real human intelligence to solve. However some captchas goes beyond the normal point and to some extent proves to be too difficult to solve and some are just downright hilarious. Left shows one of Google’s captcha that would be too hard for some people’s pride to swallow. Headwear blog has more of these as a collection of some of the most craziest captchas on the web with 19 more pics after the jump.

  • That URL doesn't work any longer.

In my experience the best captcha is that which cannot be entered into the text box. Plenty of free directories use this kind of crap; captcha contains 6-7 characters, but input fields are configured to accept max. 5 characters.
