I agree to all the facts you mentioned. But the most important thing i believe is Cross linking. Let me explain why i am writing comment on your post. Sometimes my personal freelance business site comes on 2nd page for keywords like "Design to HTML" or "Design to xHTML" but normally i cant see it in there. I don't know the reason why. If you can please help me with this i will be thankful.
